So many more individuals in their 20s are acquiring Temecula real estate . Owning a piece of real estate indicates more of a sense of responsibility and commitment, especially for twentysomethings. The payback, however, is great. People in their 20s are more likely to purchase real estate than they were 20 years ago.

The freedom of being self-sufficient is worth so much, even though money might be tight. So many young homeowners claim that they would much rather be paying a mortgage, than rent to somebody else. A leaky toilet or new electrical system might need to be bought on a credit card, but at 25, a Temecula real estate investment is worth a lot.

Have you ever dreamed of remodeling an old Temecula home ? Make sure you take a good look at the "bones" of a home before you purchase that potential jewel.

Repairing shingles is not so bad. It's an entirely different, and more expensive story, to repair the roof's entire structure. Reparing a leaking basement is a relatively easy job. Putting in a new foundation will be a huge project. You should think about evaluating pipes, wiring, and toxic building materials.

Carefully evaluate the entire house and only move ahead if you truly believe that your checkbook, and more importantly, your sanity, is ready for the project.

Gear that use cords are being bought up by more and more people. Cell phones, laptops, and iPods come with a slew of unsightly cords, but are a necessity in practically every Temecula home . Several companies are now developing furniture complete with intergrated power strips, USB ports, and phone and Internet jacks. Power sources can be hidden anywhere, in end tables, desks, and coffee tables.

Staying away from spills on night stands and coffee tables is a challenge that comes with power outlets. We are trained to keep drinks away from the keyboard, but can we keep them away from the coffee table? We should proceed with caution until cell phones and laptops are made waterproof. This type of furniture is considered a luxury, but could soon become the norm.

You can add value to your Temecula home by improving your master bedroom or deck. Although, certain renovations could actually end up costing you when it comes time to sell.

Putting in a swimming pool is necessary in the hot, dry areas. In the cooler areas, the thought of upkeep is enough to turn buyers off. Families with younger children may not want to buy a home with a pool. The new room you added on is great for a game room, but you probably didn't consider how it looks from the exterior. A home will be tough to sell when an addition is poorly planned and does not fit the rest of the house.

When following design fads, be careful. Just like wood paneling, above counter sinks and stainless steel kitchens will date a home. When personalizing your Temecula home, be smart and think ahead.

In regards to the design of Temecula homes , times are changing. The total amount of square footage is perhaps the biggest change since the 1970s. The average new home has expanded to 2,400 square feet, up from 1,600 square feet in 1973. Now, homes have at the very least two bathrooms when they used to have less than two.

From a mere 9x10 to a whopping 285 square feet, kitchens have seen an increase in size as well. Islands, breakfast bars, and nooks are a few of the additions to many kitchens. An old-fashioned living room is a feature of the past. Families nowadays congregate around the flat screen TV instead. Many garages allow for more than two cars and an all-inclusive laundry room is almost a must. Children are less likely to share a room as four bedrooms are becoming typical. Keep posted, Temecula real estate is continuing to adapt to the times.
